I Love Banana Toasts

N's delicious banana toasts

My favorite breakfast food in Thailand was my friend N's scrumptious banana toasts, with a cup of coffee. Just seeing this picture again makes me hungry. My friend also made some yummy blueberry pancakes.

Happy Birthday Dolly!

"Gimme Five!"

One day in December, I bought and tasted seven hamburgers, from seven different fast-food restaurants. But really I only ate two or three bites of each one. Five of the burgers are seen in this picture.

Dolly, whose birthday is around this time of year though we don't know when, was trying to get to the burgers before I took the picture. I had to put up a gate to keep her back. Afterward, I gave her part of a burger (no bun) because she is such a good dog. She also got a little mixed into her dog food a few times.

Dolly is a cute Black Lab, but she loves food way too much. She begs for burgers, French fries, pizza (which by the way Mom bought a couple of days ago, and we unsuccessfully tried to play keep away from the dog)... ice cream, waffles, Borshch (also spelled other ways, but Dolly can't read so it doesn't matter) and Asian foods. No, I'm not going to break that down by country. It's best that something is left to the imagination.

We love her, but it remains a mystery to us why she likes international cuisines. Perhaps she is open-minded; but it's probably just her mouth that's open. haha

Drive-Thru Flu?

More than a week and a half ago, I was getting a large iced coffee in the McDonald's drive thru. It tasted great!

However, my guess is it's the place where I caught the flu, coz the very next day I was sick. No need to elaborate on what happened.

This can be said: Fast-food flu doesn't end fast. My body, especially my stomach, felt lousy for a few days.

But there's an upside: I'm a slim, trim guy, who hasn't eaten out in more than a week and a half. Perhaps today I will have a little pre-birthday celebration with a latte or iced americano. A little half-and-half, maybe a couple packets of sugar, but-- please God-- no germs.

Happy Smile-Day to Me!!!

Here's one of my fave pics of me from 2005. It was one of the happy times at Carl's Jr. Sometimes, I have a snack there before going shopping. It's fun to take a pen and paper and do some writing on any topic that comes to mind, and I also teach myself more Russian words and phrases.

Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake and a soda (usually Fanta Orange or Coca-Cola) is my favorite afternoon snack at Carl's Jr. I've been known to pick up some CrissCut Fries in the Carl's Jr. drive thru on the way home. When I'm hungry for a meal, I like to order fish and chips.

sNOwRTHWEST

Dolly points out that we have a lot of snow.

It's cold outside, but I still want to eat
ice cream or halo-halo.

Note: I took these pictures yesterday.

If only the ground were covered with ice cream

Snow is way cool, but not very sweet!
Words Dolly might say if she could talk.

This picture was from last winter, though I forget exactly when it was taken or who took it. And no, Dolly didn't take it by herself, using her back paws to snap the pic. haha

But that does sound like a strange cartoon plot, if Dolly were a cartoon character. What would I call it? Something like err... "the incredible feats (paws) of double-jointed photdographer Dolly."

Dolly likes ice cream. She loves people food, including Asian foods for some reason. Bad dog! Just kidding. She's a good dog that just likes to eat too much.

However, I'm not going to let her know about Halo-Halo, my favorite Filipino dessert, which I ate several times at Chowking in the Philippines. That was nearly three years ago, so now the halo-halo cravings are stronger than ever.

What the other half doesn't need to know

Do you keep a photo of your other half in your wallet? Or a picture of one of your favorite foods?

I'm not saying you ought to carry photos of milkshakes, donuts and cakes rather than a photo of your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, or whoever that special person is.

Perhaps you can put the food pics after your spouses so you won't be in the doghouse, in other words in a heap of trouble with the love of your life. Unless the love of your life is a dessert, then don't worry about it. Maybe we are the same in our thinking. But for your sake, I hope not. lol

Speaking of dogs, Dolly (cute black lab) is going to make a guest appearance to introduce SNOW which now covers the ground. Then I'll try to articulate why I am hungry for a frozen dessert in the middle of winter. What's up with that anyway?!! Well, I'm sipping on iced coffee as I typed this post, so don't try to figure me out. Cold foods remind of nice warm weather, the summer and the beach. Yeah, that could be the reason.

With any luck, the wishful thinking will pay off when I wind up in shorts and a t-shirt on a tropical beach full of beautiful women. That's the dream I'm hoping to have tonight. LOL

Great Fast Food in the Philippines

Jollibee is the favorite fast-food
chain of many Filipinos.

This photo reminds me of how much fun it was eating at Jollibee restaurants in the Philippines. The picture was snapped by me nearly three years ago when I was there. It was cropped and resized for this post.

Jolly spaghetti is in my Top 10 fast foods. It always tasted great, especially with a large Coke or chocolate shake!

I'm not feeling well this week and just trying to fight off a cold. My goal is to finish my list of favorite fast foods. The last post might be republished once I get the list completed. I hope to be back soon. Time for more chicken noodle soup.
