Krispy Kreme holiday doughnuts
Krispy Kreme Gingerbread Cake Doughnuts and Red Velvet Cake Doughnuts
Both kinds are moist and delicious. The gingerbread doughnuts do have a nice holiday-spice flavor, while the other doughnuts may be too fancy for a guy like me, though I can live the high life, sorta, but it does make me feel like something I'd eat if I were getting married. Who said that?! Don't say that word here! LOL
Maybe I'll do a list of my favorite 'M' words if I can think of all of them. Maybe. Oh I'm not saying Maybe is one of those words, but why not! Maybe is a better word than commitment, which isn't an 'M' word except it does have three M's in it. Heck, I had insomnia last night, also not an M word but it's why I can't stick to one topic. What's wrong with commitment... well nothing if we're talking about eating doughnuts because I am committed to it though I did need some help to eat up all the doughnuts.
Right after I went through the drive-thru to buy these doughnuts, I just had to snap a photo.
Some pre-holiday cheer for me began on the Saturday (before Christmas) when I bought these doughnuts. There were lots of shoppers out and some looking for something sweet to eat. I wanted to share the doughnuts in the box starting with a full dozen, so I bought another doughnut and munched it down quickly.

Gingerbread Cookie Shake at Burger King
The Burger King Gingerbread Cookie Shake was featured on October 31, so please go back and read that review. I had this shake (in photo) again tonight, and I'm still drinking it now but decided to upload the photo so it shows up here to same calendar day I am drinking it.
Oh and tomorrow (Dec. 21) the world ends? If so, maybe the aliens will be the only ones left to read this and wonder what Gingerbread Cookie Shake at Burger King tastes like. haha
In other words, they'll be sorry if they mess with us humans, and then they will never find out. haha
Don't be upset! The world probably will be here on Saturday, unless we all party too much Friday, or something. Please have a happy day and a happy day after that day too, and so on.

Eating Ice Cream Never Looked So Good!
This is a McDonald's commercial from a few years ago. I don't put the title on videos when I show videos from YouTube, it's probably a title by the person who uploaded it to YouTube. I also don't know about the description on YouTube and have no responsibility for it. It says she's making faces at a baby and that makes sense, but I don't need a responsibility, just a pretty Asian girl or young woman to make me feel good.
I just know this makes me feel happy and maybe it will make someone else happy too. It's a very cute Asian girl or young Asian woman and I think she's being funny here. Someone said she's a South Korean actress but I don't know because I don't know her. haha I realize that I shared it before but can't find it on my blog, so it must have been from my previous fast food blog. This uplifts my spirits when I'm feeling down, and I'll enjoy it!

I decided to keep this doughnut from another Voodoo Doughnut shop in Portland, Oregon
Did waiting give this doughnut good or bad voodoo?
Other photos will answer this question. You can wait for me to post those photos, but I'd recommend coming back in a few days.
This photo is from the same day as the other doughnut photo but another one of their doughnut shops. Their doughnut creations are different than other doughnuts I've seen (and eaten) and one may have a slightly obscene name especially to certain people, so don't ask me unless we're a very close couple. Otherwise, I'll just refer you to their website, which anyone can find online. Voodoo Doughnut is on YouTube, too. Also at other locations on the web.

Wish I could GO UP to Portland, Oregon and to a Voodoo Doughnut shop
In September (2008), I felt like
I could lift off, coz there was
blue sky in Portland, Oregon.
Actually both of my feet were planted firmly
on the sidewalk, outside of the doughnut shop.
The doughnut is a creation by Voodoo Doughnut
which an employee said they called the Orangutang as it
has some orange-flavored Tang on it.
Note: Most of the writing was done in 2008 and was going to be put on the blog in December 2008 but I gave this post a title and wrote the note on Friday afternoon and now it GOES UP blog, which I wish could fly me to Portland. Oh yeah, blogs can't fly, yet. For people who don't understand me, stop being so uptight and use your imagination.
Extra doughNote: I have no idea how they spelled Orangutang, the doughnut. This photo was cropped then made much smaller because it's blurry. What the heck, I'll put up the larger photo too.

Adding to the last post...
I would like to say thanks to me, I'm not giving up no matter who tries to pick on me. And I guess it's been over more than 2 1/2 months that the writing about that one day of fast food took place, on and off, and back on, off, and on, off, on, off, on, and you know, off and on. I really don't like to stop writing about that day, so maybe I can talk about how I had five hot dates in between all those fast foods and drinks. They were very, very fast dates. Blinked and I missed them. No, I'm kidding. No fast dates or slow ones then. I'm much better at writing than dating.
Not the typical before and after pictures
During the afternoon, BEFORE
that long sorta-like-a-fast-food soap opera,
starting with Starbucks iced coffee. That was
back in August, but my write-up kept going for
almost two months. Bravo, I'm strange! haha
In the above picture, I'm not holding in my gut and
if anything I'm pushing it out. I did my weight loss,
diet thing five years ago and basically have not gained it back, I want
to encourage everyone that is dieting to keep up the
good work of dieting and you will reach your goals.
AFTER I went through the drive-thru and bought
a large Starbucks iced coffee

Burger King Gingerbread Cookie Shake makes the holidays appear closer and more delicious than usual
Yesterday I went to Burger King and got the Gingerbread Cookie Shake. That was the second time I've had that shake. It's a holiday shake but I'm not sure which holiday I am supposed to celebrate right now. Oh yeah, it's Halloween! And that's good but almost immediately--tomorrow-- I know in America we'll be seeing much more of the Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations at stores, so Burger King is just getting a good early start helping us get into the holiday spirit, and I'm glad they did.
The shake is a big step up from common and ordinary shakes and so far it's the best shake I've had at Burger King. I think it's a delicious shake! However, I'm not sure what the ingredients are or what's the exact flavor of the shake. Instead of guessing, I'll look it up online and maybe the Burger King website will tell me. I do sense that the Gingerbread Cookie Shake has the flavor of holiday spices, but as I already pointed out, I don't know. I only know that I want it again.

Same day I ate the Krispy Kreme Doughnut
which was the day of me pictured holding Starbucks iced coffee in my hand (refer to a Sept. post) and this is another picture of the same iced coffee... now skip ahead in time to Jack in the Box chicken nuggets (please see an earlier post in Sept.)...then I picked up ice cream shakes (not for me) at Sonic drive-in and this is after I pulled into the garage. These shakes didn't melt in the time it took to get back because I did my best to keep 'em cold.

Photos
In addition to the coffee photo making sense now as it will be relevant to my writing about iced coffee, as coffee competition continues, more photos I took five years ago will be posted since that's when I ended Fast Food Yummy. I brought it back almost right away with this blog address but didn't post all the photos from 2007 that I wanted to post. I also started blogs about Fast Food Yummy from 2006 and 2007. Articles there now are some of the articles that were published on Fast Food Yummy in those years.
Writing about Iced Coffee
There's an important reason why I posted the coffee photo from five years ago and that's because I'm going to write about coffee, especially iced coffee. It's a 'drink', in my opinion, meaning we expect iced coffee to be a pleasingly delicious mixture of coffee, cream or what they usually refer to as cream, a flavor, for example vanilla, hazelnut, mocha, etc. In other words, it's not just coffee with ice added.
I'm making decisions (for my reviews of iced coffee) based on whether or not I think the quality of the iced coffee is consistent which means I'm asking myself the questions: Do the iced coffee selling restaurants in a chain, for example, basically have the same in quality of the iced coffee? Can customers rely on each restaurant and coffee shop in that chain, or are some of them not following the rules and keeping up the high standards of how the iced coffee is to be made and served to customers?
It's impossible for me to write about every time I've had iced coffee, and obviously it's an opinion as far as why the iced coffee is great somewhere one day and on another day it's lousy at that same place. But I will give my own opinion based on the many times I've had iced coffee. Some individual restaurants served consistently great iced coffee, but that's only a few of them.

Almost Like a Period Piece, but not
It's Saturday and around 8 pm as I begin to write, so that's good enough reason to reflect on long ago...well, it seems like a long time since yesterday at around 9 pm (not really, I'm just trying to make this interesting) but I did go to a '50s type fast food place. Actually, there wasn't a lot of action last night but I think tonight there's something going on and maybe I had gone through a time portal, a TV time portal... I expected to see Fonzie (again, not really) though if it were possible, I'm sure he would have treated me like a nerd, which would have been cool. Because I'd be on TV!
With my lead paragraph out of the way (way, way out that is), where I was was at Burger Time in Boise, and that's in Idaho for those who didn't know that. I ordered a Milkshake listed on their drive-thru menu off to my right, with no light shining on it and not too close to me, I'm glad I didn't have to sign for my shake.
I did make out... no, let me rephrase that...I did see the word Huckleberry on the menu, so I chose that flavor and lived happily ever after. Oh wait, that's too cliche, so instead, after ordering the shake, I began to drink it, parked there, not with a girl or woman beside me, or even wasting time thinking about what that would feel like. Well, feel is just an expression, but taste that's something on a higher level. Taste a shake, that is. Looking at my notes, though, I did ask myself, hey where are all the pretty girls? Well, they weren't there. But I must think about the shake.
The huckleberry flavor was very good but not strong enough, in my opinion. This wasn't the Jumbo size of shake, it was Large, but of course you can't see it because I haven't uploaded the pictures yet. I wanted to get Jumbo but was running low on money after getting some early presents for people because I'm a nice guy, though I also saw someone I wanted...haha I mean that I also saw something I wanted at a store. Also saw someone but I'm willing to start off with a lunch date. The Fonz would be proud of me.

Krispy Kreme Glazed Chocolate Cake Doughnut
I like to sit there, eat a doughnut, and prepare my stomach for more to eat, which is what I did when I went to Carl's Jr. for a big burger soon after this, except I only ate about half of the burger, though I ate all of the doughnut except some crumbs. That doesn't mean I didn't like the burger, part of it (just the meat part) was for some body else, some four-footed body.
Anyway, there's a better Krispy Kreme photo from another time and when I can find where it is on the computer, I will show it on here.

Sonic Hot Fudge Shake
Sonic Drive-In is a feel-good place to drink a shake while listening to music
Large Hot Fudge Shake at Sonic
I went to Sonic after 8 pm one evening in June (also pictured last time) to see if their shakes really were just half price after 8 pm.
Well, shakes were $2 for large (which usually is $3.99 before the tax) and that's what I chose, but everybody in the area seemed to know about the half-price deal.
I had to wait a while to order my shake and then a little more time before I got it. I wasn't in much of a hurry and just relaxed, listening to the music on Sonic radio or whatever they call it, and the songs were pleasing to my ears, including a song by Kiss, but I'm not sure it was the original version or even if it was them.
The shake is easy to drink since it's soft and smooth, not too thick or hard to get through the straw, and the flavor is a good one. There's whipped topping and a cherry on top.

Sonic Drive-In Special on Shakes and Malts
I asked the girl working there how long the special price after 8 pm will continue but she didn't sound sure, so I'm not saying.

Starbucks iced coffee
Ah yes, here are some of my notes... I wrote this down: I went back through and she said that was sweetened with our Classic Syrup. She said I can just say iced coffee sweetened with cream and that's what I'll get. She said she likes iced coffee with coconut syrup (
I decided to strike through it because that's how it appears on the paper I wrote my notes on, but maybe she liked hazelnut syrup too, but I wasn't thinking clearly at that moment.
On the paper with my notes, I wrote that it was about 5 pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2012 but I just looked at the calendar and it was Tuesday, August 14, 2012 so at least I got the year right. haha
It was the beginning of the day that didn't end with chicken nuggets and a shake at Jack in the Box. However, since this is almost like part soap opera and almost part like a great movie that backs up, goes head, then settles on the middle of the story for the closing scene, or something else that confuses people.
So then, backing up to before I got there... I went to Starbucks because I wanted iced coffee to compare to the iced coffee I've had many times at Burger King and McDonald's. That and I just wanted some iced coffee.
I used the drive-thru and asked her to make Venti Iced Coffee the way she normally does.
I wrote in my notes: I'd say it's equal to McDonald's and Burger King iced coffee but which one is most consistent I'll have to find out. It's the first time I had this iced coffee and liked it a lot.
More notes: I wanted to get what they normally make to see what each fast food and coffee restaurant normally or usually
Of course I can't (or won't) show the notes because they are sort of sloppy though I don't think I set an all-time sloppiness record for notes, if there is such a thing.
Well, I did go to there again since that time but didn't like the iced coffee the way I did before, though it could have been my fault for not saying the right words when I ordered. Sometime I'll try again.

(More from last time) After McDonald's
I went over to Jack in the Box in Meridian. Almost ready to head back for the night, I swung by this fast food restaurant, as I often do and this time saw that Jack in the Box had free five piece chicken nuggets with any drink, so I ordered a large OREO Cookie Shake and they gave me the chicken nuggets for free.
Wow! delicious. great
I underlined the words 'delicious' and 'great' and it's on the top of the receipt I'm looking at while I'm typing this in at about 7:30 pm on Sunday. I wonder how many people wanted to go back and buy more. I've bought JiTB chicken nuggets since then and plan to buy more again. They're hot (temperature) but not too hot, and I hope they still sell these chicken nuggets when it's cold outside in a couple of months. Or, better yet, sell them forever!

The last photo was at a McDonald's in Boise. That's Frozen Strawberry Lemonade with a large, brightly lit-up golden arch in the background. It was starting to get dark outside and was soon after I had eaten about half of that big burger at Carl's Jr. The night wasn't over yet, and I went to Jack in the Box.

I finally ordered a burger
Carl's Jr. Guacamole Bacon Six Dollar Burger
Yesterday evening, I ordered this burger and also ate about half of it, give or take a few bites. The burger was very delicious! It had been a long time since I ordered a burger, and I decided to get it because
I can't write about a burger if I don't eat it.

I love this Frappé way too much
This is for a limited time at 'you know where'. It's almost like this Frappé is a new part of my life, so yes, I hate those two words together: limited and time. I'm trying to make readers smile, too.
This is from yesterday evening, but maybe I'll go there again this evening. I put the straw in after snapping some pictures the way the it was when I got it. Someone said to take a picture with the straw in so I did it just for that person. But next time I'll show pictures without the straw and tell what kind of Frappé.

In near Soap Opera style, this is still on that same Saturday morning (almost two weeks ago)
According to the front of the Lucky Charms cereal box,
"they're Magically Delicious!" Well, I like the flavor, but can't
prove the 'magically' part of that statement?
I used the question mark, sort of like an inside joke rattling around inside my head, because single females kept sending me messages that were statements in a question form. Like when I send them: I like you. They send back: I like you? Yeah, maybe I'm not getting a clue. On a more serious note, I've found my grunge songs really have helped me feel better. Sort of.
Does anyone know which of the charms is luckiest of all?
My guess is the four-leaf clover but I'm a beginner
when it comes to LUCK!
Actually no, I've probably had some good luck but also I'm blessed
with struggling just to keep me grounded, or at least I'm close to the soil at times.
Note: I like Lucky Charms. But I'm not promoting this cereal. I just wanted to mention luck and that I need some, or something. I have no connection to anything (and if I were making money as a writer--and I'm not-- don't you think I'd buy some new jeans, well probably not because my faded jeans are my Grunge look), but some stuff has a connection to me, like food when it's in me. LOL I liked these ragged-edged paragraphs so much I thought I'd use them again this time.

Before going to Burger King (the same morning)
I ordered an iced coffee from the McDonald's drive thru, and this is what they gave me.
It's sloppy outside of the cup. Hmm... Needless to say, I wasn't happy.
Did the Lucky Charms bring me good luck, even before
I opened the box, and keep the sloppy cup from being worse?
Don't know but glad I had the facial tissue to clean up the mess.
Later, I ate a bowl of Lucky Charms with Lactaid milk and at the same
time finished the Sweet Potato Fries, with iced coffee and a shake
from Carl's Jr. That was some kind of strange meal!
This time I wanted the paragraphs to look as sloppy as the outside of the iced coffee cup.

Rock music makes me feel good and look better in pictures
Right before I snapped this very attractive picture of myself (in the post below)... what happened, you ask?
Dave Grohl screamed really loud, of course because I turned the radio volume way up, partially because a Burger King worker was watering the plants and annoying me while I was thinking about how to do this picture. So anyway, Dave was singing the Foo Fighters hit song "Monkey Wrench", and like just about everyone else, I know when his amazing rock-star scream is in that song. Wow! I just saw their video for that song and like when he screams. Has anyone watching ever fallen into that video? Just thought that would be funny!
Morning note on what I haven't been doing: I tried to upload my 'newest song' today but dang it, for some reason, perhaps because the file is too big, it wouldn't upload on my music site (errr blog) and I did do almost a scream in my song, sort of, near the end of the extro, which is like an outro, but it's kinda complicated based on what the song's about.
Conclusion: Long story short, Dave Grohl is great, the guy watering plants at Burger King should do it earlier in morning, and the sun needs to take it easy on me when I'm sitting there, even though I turned the air conditioner to full blast.
Sweeeeeet!!!!!! Burger King Sweet Potato Fries could be the answer
What is the question?
If you guessed, does this have something to do with Burger King's Sweet Potato Fries, then you're very warm. No, actually you're exactly right and I was getting warm with the sun beating down on the driver's side a little after 10 am when I was there.
I'm parked in front of Burger King after using the drive-thru to buy a large-size Sweet Potato Fries. These fries are sweet, and Burger King is right about that. It's the second time I've gotten these fries there and I'm sold on the flavor.

Nicki Minaj's hit "Starships" Number 1 on half-year Pop 10
Nicki Minaj has the most interesting pop song so far this year. "Starships" is a fun song to listen to and slightly better, in my opinion, than "Take Care" by Drake, with Rihanna.
Drake's hit single is graced by the beautiful singing voice of Rihanna. She is one of the best singers and maybe the very best of them all right now. I don't think it would have been in the top 2 without her.
Another great song is "Leave You Alone" by Young Jeezy and it features the superb singing of Ne-Yo, which made the song even more impressive, and with a lot of feeling.
This brings up a question that is so hard to answer that I won't today: Who is the best pop vocalist of 2012 to this point? I would have to say Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson, and Ne-Yo, whose his singing is brilliant on "Leave You Alone" and other songs, are the three main contenders.
There are many others including Nicki Minaj, Mackinzie, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, who came very close to getting on the list with "Give Your Heart a Break" and Carly Rae Jepsen, also with a fine song "Call Me Maybe". My problem was identifying when that song was actually released. I read that her single was released in 2011 and it could appear on my 2011 list (if I do one) or my 2012 (complete year) Best Pop Songs list, which won't be until after this year is over. That will include some crossover songs by artists from other genres.
My goal was to give all the new songs a chance to get on the list; hence most of the songs I considered were released this year, except (as far as I know) two songs, one by Britney Spears and the other by Nicki Minaj, which were released in December according to what I read. My reason was there were large numbers of listeners to those songs on YouTube this year. Also, I don't recall hearing either song on the radio, which is another reason I allowed it, and that's to say what's getting played and what's not by radio DJs is all messed up. If the songs on YouTube are better, then that's the way it is.
However, my emphasis was on including radio singles, although the number a song got to on a hits chart didn't matter to me, and yes, I do my own thing here. I also listened to many songs by new(er) artists on YouTube and a large number are unsigned artists. These days anyone can write, record, and release songs this way. While I have a limited amount of time, I will spend some of my time listening to these songs. I hope to hear more of these artists.

In case someone is waiting to see my pop songs list, I've chosen the Number 1 and I'm comparing the other songs now and the list will be on this blog this morning, actually before the light of day. It's 1:30 am, so I do care about pop music and this serious project. I will drink more iced green tea and keep thinking and comparing songs.

Hey, stay away from Mom's DQ Cake
I talked to Dairy Queen and ordered the DQ cake, Dad picked it up and paid for it, the dog smiled, and we the humans ate cake once it wasn't frozen solid. Maybe my next song should be 'Let it Thaw!' Maybe that's taken but it'll be my own strange way of thawing, such as 'Let it Thaw, but Don't Melt Me Too Much Baby, Honey, Darling" and a bit kinky. No, I'm joking. The End!
Awesome
Another caption for the photo below could have been: At least nobody attempted to use the scissors.
I think that's obvious unless somebody was a sitcom character, and then I suppose he could try what makes sense to him. And of course she could do what makes sense to her too, if the sitcom character is a female, which is stated here to show I never discriminate when it comes to sitcom characters.
However, I'm not referring to the somebody lurking in the background of the photo. Ice cream cake isn't for dogs, and this one just keeps showing up around all kinds of food whether it's fast, slow, big, or small food. The smile in the above photo is not an endorsement, and we don't endorse anything, though I write about fast food and blend in some humor because in my next life I wanna be a sit-down comic (in heaven) who eats while he's telling jokes, or a sitcom character who reads Fast Food Yummy and keeps saying stuff like: I wanna be just like Scott even though he ain't a babe magnet. The dog might wanna be a fashion model but my guess is it just wants to eat more food. I couldn't think of anything else to add at the moment.
Oh yeah, I just listened to the new album by Cherri Bomb. I bought the CD the week it was released but waited until now to listen to it. I like it and had a good time. They are getting the last chance to get into my pop list, as if I thought this would be pop! It's hard rock/heavy metal and a pretty awesome song!

More Nicki and my Pop 10 or More
The Nicki Minaj album/CD was great and much better than reviews said, which I glanced at while thinking they've gotta be wrong. Well they were wrong! Some music critics don't know what they are talking about and I can't believe they get paid for what they do.
So far I've only listened to the CD once but it's going to get a high rating from me. However, I'm trying to remain objective right now, until I have completed my list of top pop songs of the first half of 2012. It will be a Top 10 or a more than top 10. Though, yes, Nick Minaj's "Starships" probably will go higher than... most of the other songs. Will it be Number 1 on my list? I can't wait to find out.
There's hope for the future, or at least hope as far into it as this coming weekend, and Saturday is when I will make the decision.

Nicki Minaj
I put this CD on hold at Kmart last Friday evening because I didn't have enough money in my wallet. On Saturday evening (last week), I went back to Kmart and picked her up, oops what I meant is I picked up the Nicki Minaj CD, the DELUXE EDITION of "PINK FRIDAY: ROMAN RELOADED" (EXPLICIT).
Despite what someone might think, the windshield wasn't getting steamed up -- that's bugs -- but I was feeling excited because of the part(s) of the CD cover you can't see (on purpose). Nicki is very sexy, beautiful, and of course I like her singing and her songs.
Next door to Kmart is McDonald's and I went there for iced coffee to cool down, though I'm saving my listening pleasure for this weekend and that way it will be almost as though I was getting excited to go to one of her concerts. Haven't ever been to one or know when I will, but I still feel excited.
I don't know if Nicki will ever come over here to the sagebrush capital of whereversville (I made that place up) but if so she can take me away in a Starship, and I'll go willingly.
Seriously, I'm looking forward to more and more of her music.

Iced Coffee and guess where
I know some wise guy is thinking "did the digital camera take a sip of iced coffee from the bottom" because I know I would think something like that just because it sounds like a line from a '60s sitcom rerun. I'm not sure which character and sitcom... Oh yes I am! I know but I ain't tellin'.
Okay, I went to McDonald's and ordered medium iced coffee, with hazelnut flavor and I don't think you can see the flavor.
At around 9 pm when I was there, they were still making great iced coffee. We also had iced coffee from the same McDonald's restaurant (both times from the drive-thru) at before noon a day earlier, which was June 1, and it tasted very good then.
Not much later I chose to go for a shake at Jack in the Box.
Last stop Saturday for a Shake
I liked the Jack in the Box Java Cookie Shake. I'll get it again
.
People kept walking in and out of Jack in the Box, and it was hard to get a good picture. But I didn't give up and after a few below-average pictures which I deleted, I finally got this picture. It's not too bad I guess.
Note: Parking for disabled is off to the left near an entrance not in this picture, but part of the sign got in the left side of the picture. I was parked in a regular customer parking, a different space which is for everyone. Off on the right, there were people walking back and forth, and it was difficult to just get a picture of the shake and how they advertise it there on the front of Jack in the Box.
From what I could see on Saturday at Jack in the Box, there were enjoying the evening and having fun. It's a nice way to get a good feeling.

Conan meets some random Korean girls
As usual, I didn't post this on YouTube so this is not my title (above).
But the rest of this writing was created in my mind, to my fingertips to the computer to the YouTube share "Blog This!" compose page, to your eyes, to your mind, but you shouldn't think long about this writing, just enjoy the video.
Yes, Conan shows us what comedy is. Also, I think his example is something I can learn from, even if I'm not sure what it is I'm learning.
Start with the matching reddish beard and light brown jacket or whatever color that is, I now know how to be WITH IT and funnier, though I need better material. And using my mouth would help, though I'll have to develop a sense of comedic timing.
Also, my (new) thin beard (only part that is new) doesn't match any jackets I've seen in stores, so I will need to color my beard -- with a paint brush (I'm joking: NEVER DO THAT) back to its original and natural color of turquoise and magenta. No? you don't believe me? Okay, I respect your ability to detect a big giant fib.
Next, and I feel this is almost like play-by-play analysis of comedy, Conan's use of hands to make a joke is legendary. I exaggerate but not enough to get me elected.
At the 34 and 35 second mark of the video, it almost looked like he was going to ... Okay, I decided to talk myself out of my own little inside joke that was going to be here, not that it was very funny in a comparative sense, because there aren't many Star Trek characters that rhyme with church and tribble doesn't really rhyme with steeple, no one would get what I'm talking about, and more importantly I want to save my dumb joke for another time. I know what I'm doing, even though you don't. That was close! I thought by the time this post was finished, I would be the squarest pariah ever shunned by cliquish circles and love triangles alike. I'm having a major DĂ©jĂ vu experience because I think I've seen that sentence before, perhaps at a parallel university, I mean in a parallel universe.

For the time being
this is the end of my writing about chicken sandwiches, but (humor intended) I hope to get back to writing about chicken sandwiches:
A. Because they can't write about themselves.
B. I like chicken sandwiches.
C. Somebody needs to write about chicken sandwiches.
E. For no reason other than I always wanted there to be an E.
Note about photos:
I don't make the really big size photos for this blog, and try to have the photos look similar to the way I would for a newspaper or magazine. Hence, the food is smaller than actual size in most cases, so are the people in the photos, if there are people in photos, because we know people are not like 3 or 4 inches tall.
And some things and people, combined or separately could be hundreds or thousands of feet tall and we just wouldn't ever know that and how could we. While there is no truth to the rumor that retired fast food mascots went away because HE (I meant they) outgrew Earth is of course false, and as far as I know it wasn't even a rumor until I started it. Okay, clearly my humor hasn't outgrown this blog though I'm seriously hoping for that to happen.
Photos also don't allow us to see what's... hmm...going on in the heads of those being photographed. If they are not smiling, maybe the camera caught them at the wrong moment or they haven't learned what it means to be a good cam whore in this era. Oops, I meant what a camera is good for.
Finally, besides a sensible conclusion like I have no idea what I'm talking about, I want to put in a request for cameras that can see through buns -- hamburger buns and sandwich buns, that is -- so we can see what it is that we are eating, also giving us info. like ingredients that are in that food, whether or not it was approved by Pamela Anderson, and whether she or anyone who looks like her is available to eat dinner with me, and eat whatever she wants me to eat, I mean err uhh vegetarian cuisine, this Friday night, LATE! Alright, I guess that these paragraphs did their part to separate chicken from the next post about a comedian, and I wouldn't want anyone to say I used comedy and chicken sandwiches in the same sentence. Oh well, looks like I blew that one, but I'm trying and that's something.

B. I like chicken sandwiches.
C. Somebody needs to write about chicken sandwiches.
D. This isn't a test, so "D" is NOT "all of the above", and students: don't guess this as an answer because this is not a test, but if this was a real test I'd make it a trick question, then let everyone do extra-credit projects to raise your grades to an A+ because I wouldn't want to give bad grades, and besides this is a fast-food blog,
NOT A PLACE OF EDUCATION.E. For no reason other than I always wanted there to be an E.

Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich has good flavor but needs more chicken, less crunch
After I saw that commercial on YouTube yesterday and gave other people a chance to see it too, I went to Wendy's. Before going there, I did manage to find McDonald's for (iced) Sweet Tea and then Krispy Kreme for a doughnut. I had been there for a doughnut a little more than a week ago and like to repeat a good time. It wasn't morning, it was time for dinner, but I can eat a doughnut anytime if it's available.
There was still enough room inside of my stomach for a sandwich. When I finally reached Wendy's which is in the same area, I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. It's a breaded and fried chicken fillet with good flavor, spicy to my liking, with Mayo, lettuce and tomato. However, I was glad I'd already eaten a doughnut because there wasn't much chicken in the sandwich. I have noticed this with some other fast-food chain's chicken sandwiches, especially the spicy chicken sandwiches. Lots of breading and not much chicken.
Some of the breading was quite crunchy, too hard, and since I'm careful when chewing, I got a plastic knife and fork to cut it into small pieces.
Actually, I only ate about half of the bun because... hmm then I might still be able to attract girls like the ones (or one who can change to my fantasy girl for all occasions) in the Wendy's breakfast commercial? Probably not. But at least when I look at the commercial, I don't feel like I'll be rejected. I almost wrote rejerked, but then I corrected my writing before publishing.
I'm not a jerk, I'm a nice guy, and since we are what we eat, I'm only a small part chicken. Hmm... I always knew that "you are what you eat" saying would come in handy. I think I'll use it, but not as a pick up line. I'm not a fan of those. Maybe that's why I'm sitting here writing on Sunday at noon, instead of what would be much better, and that would be waking up at noon with the girl from the Wendy's commercial. I'd even make the breakfast, at noon when we wake up together, that is. If this wasn't funny enough for you, watch Conan. What else can I say, or write!!

Wendy's Commercial - Beach
What could be better than a pole dance by the King of Burger King? Well, not much. haha indeed! However, yet another 'H' word -- HUNGRY -- proves we can be tempted by food, etc. I won't give a dissertation on what in the name of fast food I'm talking about, but this looks like something I could be convinced to do. Eat! ETC.
This is a past Wendy's commercial advertising their breakfasts and how I wish I had a couple, of those err umm uh duh (my dumb guy act)... breakfasts. Of course AND...

I enjoyed the McDonald's Big Breakfast with Hot Cakes, and I think it's a very good breakfast. The food was warm, tasted great, and was nice to look at. There were 3 hot cakes, a biscuit, sausage, scrambled eggs, and hash brown, syrup for the hot cakes, whipped margarine for hot cakes and biscuit, and something else which was turned over on the wrong side, so I didn't really notice it until I had almost finished eating. Only then did I turn it over to discover it was... delicious! But what was it? I need to hold something back for later.

This was a nice sight to see on Sunday morning before going out to eat. I was going to Carl's Jr. for a breakfast burger, when I spotted this McDonald's truck at McDonald's, took this photo, then decided what the heck I should eat breakfast there since it's around 9 am. I wound up ordering the Big Breakfast with Hot Cakes. I'm sure glad I did. Sorry, no space left in my stomach for a burger. I was full.
and
My thinking on this was, I want to see the video again, and once I saw it again, I wanted to see it again, and again, and hey, this was a Burger King commercial? I don't know because I don't remember seeing it on TV, and I live in America, not the UK.
This is quite funny, almost like if the King (not THE KING, I mean the Burger King mascot, and he is or was just a figurehead, emphasis on 'head') and I'm just saying 'if' he had a go-back time machine and made a guest appearance on Monty Python's Flying Circus, I'm not sure which way the TV ratings would go-- up or down-- but I'd watch that maybe only...umm two or three hours a day, until I laughed so hard I was hungry.
I'm not sure if these kind of commercials make me want to eat burgers, because I'm not much of a burger eater -- but I am usually 'up for' (not necessarily awake, but will go if someone near and dear to me wants) fast food, and this does make me want fast food. Etc.
Keep the King! There! I did my part. Besides, I want to see the King, Ronald McDonald, Jack from JiTB, combined fast food mascots of the world, and Paris Hilton in a very, very, very, very -- well, you fill in the blanks after very -- fast food commercial. Yes, I should have stopped in the last paragraph. Now I'm way too hungry for words and

Burger King pole dancing (UK commercial)

As always, trademarks and copyrights are the property of their owners. My writing, which includes reviews and opinion, is for a legitimate purpose and meant to provide access to what's out there on the Internet and also generally in the world of fast food. Well, FAST FOOD doesn't have a world all to itself, but you know what I'm talking about! I could be wrong though and maybe that's where the king of Burger King is now. I'll look into it. haha

McDonald's Arctic Orange Shake from 2007 will be the Fast Food Yummy list of best shakes
McDonald's Arctic Orange Shake joins Jack in the Box OREO Cookie Ice Cream Shake on my list of the top shakes at fast food restaurants. There will be more shakes on the list, it won't be finished until I say so, and the total number of shakes isn't set because, after all, it's only a number. This is from my past Fast Food Yummy blog:

McDonald's Arctic Orange Shake craving could last longer than the Season
How far are you willing to drive late at night for the food you're craving? When only a very specific sweet treat will do, I'm willing to try and try again. If they don't have it one store, I'll look for it somewhere else.
I have this thing now for the McDonald's Arctic Orange Shake. When they told me they couldn't make any more that night (today, the woman explained they had run out of orange syrup that night), I went to a second McDonald's location, where it turned out they don't have that shake at all. Finally, I visited the third McDonald's, and they made the shake. I was happy!
Fortunately there are three McDonald's restaurants in this small city. Two of the McDonald's are across the street from each another, one of them inside a Wal-Mart superstore. The other location is pretty much at the other end of town, but with green lights and almost no cars on the streets it took less than 10 minutes to drive there.
After getting to the drive-thru, the line moved fast and I thanked them for the quick service. They gave me what I expected, a thick, delicious shake!
Over the years, McDonald's has had other special shake flavors that I've really liked. But going back to my childhood, I loved strawberry shakes. The orange shake is just as good, or better!
So you can imagine what happens. This morning the gal working the drive-thru said, "It's seasonal."
Yes, that makes sense. I held back my emotions. What will life be like without this shake?? Yeah, I'm a deep thinker with strong feelings for my favorite fast foods.
Be strong, I told myself, and just ask the question, which is what I did. "Are you going to have it for a while?"
She told me that she hoped so. Well, I thought, it feels good someone likes the shake as much as I do.
While I was there, I noticed the drive-thru closes at 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 12 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. That's not late enough for me!
Sometimes people get hungry when they are asleep! Ok, I guess they can just go to the kitchen. That's not the first thing I think of when I'm hungry. LOL
Other people have insomnia. And some work all night long, so they ought to be able to eat what they want, when they want to. Of course some drive-thrus are open all night, but there should to be more places where people can hang out all night. Yeah, I know some restaurants serve food 24 hours. But that's still not good enough for me!

I used to wonder what it would be like to sleep over at my favorite fast food restaurant. I guess I still think about it. Bring some books to pretend like I'm studying. hehe Turn the pages once in a while, only to stay awake. Write notes. Highlight something. Wear nerdy glasses. That way nobody thinks it's too much fun! LOL
Fall asleep after a shake or two, and fries; then wake up and eat a breakfast sandwich, or three.
Just think how great it would be if all fast foods were available 24 hours every day of the year. That would be very, very cool !!!

Great! Great!
More than a few weeks ago (in 2011), I went over to Boise and had an unexpected double thrill. Gee! Actually, G and GG. Where to begin? Grasshopper, the name of a yummy Ice Cream Shake at Iceberg Drive Inn, and Gentle Giant, a '70s progressive rock band, were what I enjoyed together. Well kinda. Here's what happened...
ICEBERG DRIVE INN has some really good shakes and I've had at least two kinds so far. What I'm talking about are big, thick Ice Cream Shakes, and it takes me two or three hours to finish from the starting time, which makes it clear I don't win shake eating contests. Eating?
Trying to get the shake through a straw would have been impossible for me, since I was busy paying attention to a radio show about a progressive-rock band I've liked for a long time, and which unbelievably was on the radio.
Maybe I was just having a nice dream. I do know I was using a long plastic spoon to eat the shake and I wasn't in a hurry. Let me rethink this, first I drove into the parking lot at this fast food restaurant and there was some ambient music on the radio. It was interesting and the song was an instrumental but sounded like David Sylvian, but I don't think it was him.
I wanted to continue listening to the song on the radio and didn't want to go inside so I went to the drive thru. The drive-thru menu was interesting and there were quite a few shake flavors but it said they didn't have some of the shake choices. I asked if they had Bubble Gum flavor but they didn't. About that time the Gentle Giant interview started on the radio, also with some parts of their songs. If a pretty girl had suddenly been there with me, I would have known it was a dream, but forget the girl for a moment, this was Gentle Giant. They're more important than girls.
Anyway, I chose what they call "Grasshopper". The gal taking my order told me that shake is made with Mint flavoring, Oreo Cookies and Vanilla Ice Cream. I also ordered some fries. A guy handed me the shake out the drive-thru window, and I wanted to get a picture of the shake before it began to melt on top. I took out my camera but couldn't get a picture because it said no memory. It was then that I realized the memory card wasn't in the digital camera.
The shake was yummy! The color was a light green with some little dark cookie pieces, but the shake was down in the cup holder. The flavors, of course, were mint and chocolate and it had a pleasing texture as well. I was eating the shake after parking near the restaurant. The shake sticks out over the top of the cup it's in, and that cup is similar to a medium size. But they put that cup inside a large cup, which makes sense because the ice cream goes up over the first cup. I decided to eat the shake down to just below the top of the cup, then go to a store, and finish eating later.
While I was spooning the shake into my mouth, I listened to the interview and had a wonderful time, unless of course I was asleep. Also, like one or more sci-fi movies which come to mind, how do I know what we think of as reality is real? Wouldn't everything be more perfect if reality was really just a computer program that deceives us? Oh yeah, I almost forgot about computer viruses. That makes computers pretty damned imperfect if you ask me. Sometimes I wonder if all the great progressive-rock music of the '70s was real. Was it too good to be true? Whether it was all real or just a fantasy, a dream, or a simulation, doesn't matter, but I sure wish there would be a return to that kind of music greatness!
Burger King now better looking
Before reaching the drive-thru menu, I could see Burger King
has become more modern looking. This particular restaurant had
some remodeling done this year.
This Mango Smoothie has a good flavor. I decided to take a break
from drinking shakes and iced coffee. The color isn't quite right;
maybe I can get a better picture during the day.

Fish Sandwich
Around midnight, I ate this Fish Sandwich at Jack in the Box. It was a delicious fish sandwich!
I didn't get the COMBO because I didn't want a meal.
However, I did want an ice cream shake, and it's in the first photo.
OREO Cookie shake it is.
Oh it's 2 AM right now, I'm awake and still drinking shake.

New Queen of Pop?
A Friday not long ago was a lot of fun. Well, not that much fun, but the food tasted good. I saw some pretty gals everywhere and I wasn't only imagining it... I didn't see Rihanna, though (darn! joking), and wasn't looking for that kind of "Birthday Cake". Just wanted some regular food. Seriously, though, I like that song (and realize a guy sings with her), and Rihanna does have a very good chance of getting one or more songs in my list of pop songs.
Ok it's for sure, and I will bring this up again on The Overcast Inside. Hmm...that blog name sounds kind of gloomy I can imagine to those who love upbeat pop music, so then just think of it as The Overcast Inside plus music to dance all night or until your too tired to stand up. Something like that. haha
As I've already written for that blog, Nicki Minaj's song "Starships" got on the pop songs list immediately (even though the list is not finished) based on comparison to other pop songs that clearly will be on the list, and it may be the fastest a song has reached a major list. Why is it a major list? Because I do extensive comparison, listening, and research of songs, and I think about songs day and night, though not all day and all night.
I don't know for sure who would have been fastest to get on my list because I wasn't doing a pop songs list in previous years. However, the first song was going to get on the list last year, though I think the album it's from was released in 2006. I know this is confusing so keep reading until the end of this article.
There were a bunch of questions that I was going to ask readers to think about, but I'm not sure the world is ready for such serious thinking in a fast food blog. Maybe tomorrow (or a paragraph or two later) will be ready. haha Oh don't be afraid, keep reading.
I do hope most people can think about who is the modern Queen of Pop vs. the all-time Queen of Pop. It's pretty obvious to me that Madonna is still way up there in terms of popularity and so many pop hits, and I think she's still the Queen of Pop. Will that change? Maybe.
Many fans, as far as I can tell from my reading of countless comments on YouTube and elsewhere, think Lady Gaga is the new Queen of Pop, though I'd say Rihanna and Nicki Minaj are right up there too, even though they do songs from other musical genres and styles.
Adele, Katy Perry, Jessie J, and some other female pop stars also are competing for the crown of queen of pop, but it's time for me to quit capitalizing queen and pop until someone really shows me she is deserving of that honor and respect.
There also are transgender pop stars. Could one of them be the new Queen of Pop? Venus Flytrap is a Thai pop music group and all the members are transgender women. I'm not sure what this group is doing now and this is based on what I've read. Either as a group or individually, they could become quite popular because they are very talented and I think their singing and music sounds great.
I was trying to figure out how to buy their album "Visa for Love" but wasn't able to find it available for purchase. One of their songs would have gotten on my list of pop songs last year, and that would have been the first song on the list. But I was busy writing about rock songs and wasn't ready to start the pop songs list. The first time I heard this song, I was comparing it in my mind to other great pop songs from the past. That comparison gets their song on my list, so congratulations to Venus Flytrap.
Who is the new Queen of Pop? Let me answer the question with another question... Does she have to be a female from birth?
